ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Sarah is thrilled to be making a second appearance in the DC Design House. Last year, she designed the library in St. John's Rectory. Sarah Wessel Designs, Ltd. started in 1998 with a retail store on O Street in Georgetown. She has worked on many projects throughout the US and Caribbean.

Sarah was born in Maryland and grew up at "Montpelier," a circa 1765 historic house and farm that had been in her family for four generations. Her passion for interior design has been a life long endeavor that started when she was drawing floor plans at the age of seven.

Sarah loves the challenge of designing interiors for her clients that reflect their personal style. She believes in individual service and creating classic interiors for comfortable living. Her work has appeared in Veranda, Chesapeake Home, The Washington Post, Washington Space, Capitol File, and on HGTV.
